Who is Krampus?
In European folklore, Krampus is the dark counterpart to Saint Nick - a horned, mischievous figure who strolls the snowy streets in December, bells clanging, keeping the naughty in check. We’ve brought him to life in spirit form: a wickedly smooth herbal liqueur with rich roasted hazelnut, raw honey, and spice. Bold, warming, and just a little dangerous, it’s the perfect antidote to the overly sweet holiday season.
Our Story
We first unleashed Krampus in 2012 as a small-batch holiday release, not knowing if the world was ready for him. It turns out they were... and then some. From day one, Krampus found his fans. Year after year, demand grew, bottles sold out, and what started as a curious seasonal experiment became a Bellingham holiday tradition. Today, Krampus has a loyal following across the Pacific Northwest and beyond, showing up at holiday tables, winter gatherings, and the occasional mischievous night out.
Where to Find Us
Krampus is crafted by Chuckanut Bay Distillery, located in the heart of downtown Bellingham, Washington. Our restored historic building is where you can taste our spirits, shop for bottles, and see where the magic happens. If you’re in town during the holiday season, chances are you’ll spot Krampus grinning from our shelves — and maybe even meet him in person at one of our events.
